HOUSTON (June 16, 2008) – The Houston Comets waived Marcedes Walker on June 15, 2008, it was announced today by Head Coach & General Manager Karleen Thompson.

The Comets signed Walker to a training camp contract on April 14, 2008 and she remained on the roster at the start of the regular season. During three preseason games, she held averages of 6.3 points and 2.7 rebounds. She went scoreless in her only two regular season appearances. A University of Pittsburgh standout, the 6-3 center is the school’s only two-time Region I State Farm All-American and four-time All-Big East team member.
